Challenges.
All matches are Mirror match, 1200 points, Medium map, Open Battle, Pot Luck map.
The Away player sets up the match. They can choose any historical opponent to the Home army EXCEPT that same army or their own Home army. If you leave ‘DATE’ and ‘GEOGRAPHICAL’ checked that will give you the list of valid armies that you can use. The Home player should check that their opponent has used a valid army, invalid matches will have to be replayed.
Historical opponents can be any listed opponent that is a Silk road army, a Steppe army or an 'Indo' army from the original game. Western armies such as Roman or Byzantine are not permitted. There is a list of Silk Road armies below. For example the listed opponent for Han include Indian, Indo-Greek, Indo-Parthian, Indo-Skythian, Kushan, Saka, Skythian - these are all fine. However some armies list historical opponents that are not realistic so don't use these.
There are NO Allies for either side.

So BobGanoush has Away games to markleslie and Kroche (the ones in red) - he sets these up. He does not set up the games with Aetius or rafydedel, they will set them up against Bob's Tang. For the markleslie games, the armies will be markleslie's Home army (Three Kingdoms - Shu) and an historical opponent of the Shu.

Players are allowed one map reroll each. You do not need to consult your opponent, just set up the game again exactly as before and PM your opponent. But only one reroll per player per match.
If both of your opponents to your HOME army select the same army, then you can require the second challenger to use a choose a different army. This is to avoid playing the same match up twice.

No Heavy artillery is permitted in the Silk Road period.

The competition officially runs from 22nd October – 17th December (8 weeks), it is OK to start before then.

You must set up one challenge in the first week (that is one of your two Away mirror matches). Post in this thread and PM your opponent.
You must set up your second challenge by week 5.
Please respond to all challenges within a week, either pick them up or let the challenger know when you will start.
If you don't get a response to a challenge within a week then PM me.
Once a game has been started all turns must be returned within three days, unless by prior notice. Players would generally be expected to average a turn a day or if it suits faster.
If a challenge is not posted on schedule AND the results are not posted by the end of the competition OR if players don't respond to PM's from me then the game will default to the opponent.

You have AWAY games with ray and wzfcns. You set up the games, they are mirror matches so two games against each - one from each side.
Against ray he has Tang, you pick an historical opponent for Tang.
Against wzfcns he has Song, you pick an historical opponent for Song.

Your HOME games are against Angus and random. They will set up the games, they will choose what army to use against your Zhou army.

I think you've done them the other way around. The challenges that you create must configure the opponent's army and terrain and choose a historical opponent

The challenge for Armchairbaron looks correct.
Against Anderarcos it should be his Song army against an historical opponent, I don't know what it was set up as.
