Multi- Generals

I know we had a string a while back about more than one commander attached to a BG, but I can't find it and I don't recall this case:
1 BG in melee.
TC attached and fighting in the front rank.
IC attached but not fighting.
Use the TC for the combat mods and use the IC for the cohesion tests?
Came up in a game yesterday (not mine).
Thanks,
John

I think that is fine John.
As I remember you can only count the benefit of the 1 general in a test so don't get extra for counting 2 generals.

I do belive that is what the general feeling from that thread was alright. You can only get the benefit from 1 general at at time so what you had posted was right, if not an odd use for generals..... to each their own.

It's fine to do that. However the last time I tried it I suffered elsewhere as it does, of course mean that two generals are in pretty much the same place. This left insufficient for the rest of the table!

Sure Graham, you're right, but I use it as a way of
freeing my Generals.
I often take an Inspirational General. He's too valuable to put in the front rank. I do it very rarely when I absolutely
have to, but for the most part I buy other generals to do that sort of thing. I then have the freedom of being able to move the IC to the crisis point, and continue to move him as the crisis point moves around the battle front.
I've had the same IC bolster BG's from fragged to disrupted, then moved to the next fragged unit, back to the other disrupted, back to the other disrupted move on to the next one that just went disrupted and it made a huge amount of difference. Not all of the BG's had Generals in the front rank, but many would have.
