Soviet Corps - Budapest

So at the moment I have two Budapest battles running, in GC45 East and in Soviet Corps.

I just achieved a DV in the Soviet corps one but I'm afraid I need to play this again.
At deployment the briefing stated that unused troops must be placed east of the red border otherwise they will be cleared.
I did not really realize what was meant so I only deployed part of my unused troops only to find out that the rest of the unused troops was gone at the start of the SeelowHeights...
Also I send 3 guard units into the sewers only to have them collapse on top of me...and I did not really need them.anyway.

Other than that I really like Soviet Corps. The scenarios are inventive and well thought out.
Russian armour is able to keep the Germans at bay mostly.
Even at Budapest the KV 1C is still a valuable part of the army. A good mix of IS 1 and 2, the KV 85 and 1C is more than a match for the Germans.
Then again they do not field large numbers of (king)tigers yet.
I can agree with remarks that SC is maybe a tad easy. Prestige is ample and once you survive the early scenarios it becomes easier.
I deploy 6-8 AA units and maintain a small fighter force of 2-3 units to finish of what the AA units have started..

I'm starting to think which custom campaign to start once SC and GC45 east have finished, I guess either a Soviet campaign or Battlefield Europe.

Yeah, Soviet Corps brought some new challenges to the table, like nail biting retreats (especially when played for the first time).

If you need a break from all the greenery and Soviets, I can offer some reworked fun in the desert:
