Hello,

Sometimes when my tanks (and even the House Knights super heavies) level up, the ability icons are displayed as blue\green lines. There is no pop up descriptor for the abilities and when selected, the blue\green icon appears in the tank's abilities section, again with no pop up descriptor.

The game is still playable, but the unit loses out on an ability. I have tried this on several computers now and have even switched to Beta and the issue persists. It starts with ENTER THE STEEL HOST mission. I have tried fresh installs, different computers, check for corrupted files, and Beta files. My most recent attempt was a new hard drive installed with a fresh OS (Win 10) and only Sanctus Reach and Steam installed.

Is there a fix for this issue?

So you have seen this happen on the latest beta? That is - you have seen it happen on the beta even after starting a new game in the beta version? I know it's been a perrenial ghost bug that has been around since launch, but I thought it was solved in the current beta.

This is a bug in the base game, I unfortunately wasn't able to fix this despite hours of trying. The code governing abilities for leveling up is quite complex. There's also code for preventing units having multiple ammo types but for a reason I couldn't figure out they can get multiple types.

If I remember correctly if you don't select a blank ability when it happens then I think the unit loses its xp for that level after the misson but doesn't miss out on an ability.

I plan on adding upgraded units to skirmish campaigns for a future patch, I'll see if I can finally get to the bottom of this as well. I might have to rewrite the way it randomly selects an ability from scratch. I'll also see if I can prevent abilities coming up if you already have it.

I believe I know what you mean by not picking an ability, but if I recall, the next opportunity I have to select that same unit, the blue\green icons are still there. I'll confirm it the next chance I get but it fits my strategy for playing. If the unit can survive the mission without picking the ability, I do so. When the unit is selected for a new mission, the ability pick is still there. I'll wait until the unit takes damage in the new mission, then I'll select an ability and get the HP back to restore the unit to full health (or close to it), then continue the mission.

I know the ghosted glitch happened in the original, but I haven't confirmed it in the Beta yet. I'll work on that next.
