AO1944 General Traits Import problem

Just finished AO1943 Alternate History path and move directly into AO1944 alternate without returning to the main menu. When I get into Case Orange my army has no general traits anymore and I was not given any option of adjusting the general traits. What's going on?

don´t. just don´t.
always go back to the menu. that option to continue right into the next campaign has not been working properly since SCW came out.
