Sturmtiger knows the side armor is weaker than the front armor.
Sturmtiger always aims for the side armor.

Got to love those tight turns on the unit. It got to the initial position before the rocket even hit the target.
In all seriousness however, I enjoyed the way rocket animations in the game account for trajectory changes and similarly discovered it by putting extra range hero on a Sturmtiger. Both Elsa Kloss and Emma Habermann are really unique in how they can make all artillery work. Sure, the initial thought is to probably put them on a 21cm piece and shoot all across the map, but they do so much for assault guns, rocket artillery or even just regular 15cm pieces that it opens up all sort of customization options.

It's using Fritz X technology. Guide by wire. But to manipulate the wire, apparently it was designed for the entire chassis to have to rotate.
Yup, those two unique heroes are incredible on short range artillery. The difference between a 4 range gun and a 6 range gun is just 50%. The difference between a 1 range gun and 3 range gun is 300%
If I ever go back and look at the old DLC for like a complete package deal, looking at early game heroes to make them have more unique stats that cannot be rolled normally, such as +range, would definitely be something to do.

Extra ammo hero and Double Support is a nice one, just saying... As it turns out, flat stat bonuses can lead to some creative options, especially for heroes that are unique to unit classes. This can encourage players to experiment. Giving recon vehicles for example a set of heroes that provide flat defense/attack bonuses could lead to alternatives to main combat vehicles for fewer slots.

I still dream of a spicy Verdeja in 1943+
And yes im using it every year, but of course from 1942 on it is more bait than a fighting vehicle.
Considering unique heros i suggest flexible stuff (in 1 trait) like:
- jack of all trades (recon only) (while above 50% strength +1 spotting +1 attack, while below 50% strength on the unit +1 speed +10% avoidance
or
- death defiance (strategic bombers only) (allows flying during bad weather conditions)
or
- sociable Kradschützen only) (+1 hero slot for the unit (cant extend hero slots above 4)
-"Blitzkrieger" (light and medium tanks only) +3 movement, fpr every movement point spend above its normal movement range, the unit gains +5% evasion and suffers +1 supression
- water rat (infantry only) while on river or swanp hexes + camouflage + first strike + 3 attack
there is so much cool stuff that is possible for unique heros or npc heros
