Some thoughts

...in no particular order:
1. This would make a perfect game on the DS. An absolutely perfect game.
2. I do tend to play the 'simple' mode more than I do the 'advanced' mode. The simple mode is ideal for quick bite-size gameplay. The advanced mode just doesn't give the depth for me to feel the need to enable it. If I was wanting more advanced gameplay I'd rather have something much more significant there....perhaps with a 'Catan' level of depth. But then, since this is a one man team...that's obviously a big ask. Perhaps advanced gameplay could have emplyed a different gameplay metric; say, movement of pieces was not anywhere within kingdom, but 2-3 hexes a go. If cavalry moved further, you'd increase the validity of different unit types. This departure from the 'Slay' anywhere-within-kingdom movement dynamic would give you a longer lasting, more thoughtful version of the core gameplay.
3. I quite like the look. Simple clean, classic. It might be nice to give the pieces a more top down/3 dimensional feel...so it looks more like a boardgame with real pick-up-and-feel pieces.
4. Good effort. To be honest....I play this game more often than I play Empire Total War! Nice, simple, addictive. Good job.
