Hi, i'm playing the 1939 Axis campaign and after the first mission i hired the hero Albert Kerscher.
Currently i started the Saarbrucken battle, but Albert Kerscher is disappeared, and i've not lost his assigned unity.
I loaded a previous save and the issue is present also in the other previous missions.
Can i take him back using console commands or perhaps he had defected my army?

Open the "Assign Hero" tab with a Tank or Anti-Tank unit and check it again, he is a class-specified hero and won't show up if you selected the other classes.
And check if you have picked the Mortal Hero option in Advanced, it makes heroes possible to get killed whenever their units takes damage.

No, Mortal Hero is not picked, while also selecting a Tank or Anti Tank unit he doesn't appear.
