I've got to express how good the AI is: it consistently tries to encircle and cut supply lines, it recognizes threats and goes off-script if you set up a big move too close to its units. After playing many wargames where the AI either beelines headlong into you or needs a million fine-tuned instructions to work properly, OoB was a breath of fresh air.

Seriously, it's very easy to set up with editor but it doesn't blindly rush forward or follow orders. It's surprisingly flexible and cunning. Nowhere near a human opponent of course, and it's not able to consistently keep AT guns and artillery behind an advancing front, but miles ahead of many famed games (looking at you, TOAW).

Just an appreciation post.

I have had the feeling for over seven years now: This game, if tended to properly, has had and still has the potential to be far greater than it is now.
