Is there a way to buy allied units? Allies like NZ have points and CP available but don't see option to buy. What is trick to this scenario?

They will show up when you start the scenario if I remember it correct. Hmm or not. I think you find them in the reserves list.

No trick. By default, human-controlled factions are allowed to purchase units. Therefore, I am assuming that the scenario designer has made the conscious decision to NOT allow the Allies to be able to purchase units by turning off the Purchase option for everybody but Great Britain:

Why? Well, it may have something to do with the desperate nature of the battle. Here is the scenario description:

Dug in between the old railway station at El Alamein near the Mediterranean coast and the Qattara Depression in the south, and left without an option to withdraw further the 8th Army desperately seeks to stop a determined Axis attempt to break through Allied defences in order to defeat the Allies completely in Egypt.

No time for a lot of new units to be shipped in.

Afaik the Allied trilogy only offers to buy core units for the UK in the 1st DLC. Anything else is AUX which cannot be purchased.

The later DLCs add US and Canadian core units for purchase.
