I am playing the play by e-mail version of bocage breakout. When I try to purchase Allied units it shows slots available, and allows me to purchase the unit, but when I go to place the unit on the map no hexes are highlighted. If I select a hex nothing happens and the purchase price is restored in the prestige point total. What is going on?

could it be you trying to deploy units of nation, that has no flags at the moment (for example brits). does it work same with all allied nations and planes?
or else could it be the scenario is modified?

That was it. I was selecting British reinforcements selected instead of US. Never noticed that in any other scenarios I have played. Thanks for the education.
