Sales: 60% off Commander Napoleon at War!

To celebrate the anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo on the 18th June 1815, Slitherine is slashing the price of Commander Napoleon at War by 60% for a limited time only! Commander Napoleon at War is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Commander Europe at War. The original game puts players in control of the major powers of World War II and has just launched on Nintendo DS and Sony PSP across Europe. The sequel puts you in Napoleons shoes, or maybe you prefer to fight the might emperor and play as Wellington, Blucher or Kutusov.

I have my credit card in my hand, but, I need to know, does the game's download purchase option, use the new Slitherine DRM method ie the same used at Matrix Games ie just needs to be given a serial number during the installation? Or the original method of elicence.

I'll make the sale seconds after I hear that it's the new method.

I understand Slitherine has made a move to go with that method recently. Just unsure if it is retroactive to games that were already in existence.

The sale price is natually impossible to pass up :)

Eeeeeeeexcellent :)

Downloading as we speak, and a thanks for the Slitherine community for helping put a little Nappy in my day :)

You guys I hope are putting the buzz in other publisher's ears that this form of DRM = sales.
I've avoided games that I really wanted all because I won't compromise on obnoxious DRM strategies.

I recently learned that WW2 General Commander has appeared at Matrix Games, and plenty are no doubt hoping it's designers have signed on with Matrix Games's way of doing DRM.

Also learned that Matrix Games are planning to create a free upgrade to Time of Wrath for their game WW2 Road to Victory. That and Slitherine's recent decision to offer a free file option to the Gold release of Commander Europe at War is refreshing considering not ALL wargame publishers behave this way.

Oh, and I will add here, you have my appreciation for all the increasing numbers of titles headed towards the handheld gaming device market. Many more, and I think we can say Slitherine will have a lock on the entire category.
