Any player other than Peterthe Painter can choose German States 1494-1542
Otherwise they will use French 1494-1525

Rather enjoying this French army, gonna stick with it

Reports from the battlefield say that Doyley50 has failed to capture Savoy from SMJohnso77, by 63% to 40%.
We have no other details of the battle.

I can report that by some miracle my Germans overcame stern resistance from Andre's Imperialists by 60-50. Frankly, the game was evenly balanced and could have gone either way. It largely consisted of a huge pike scrum in the hills where I seemed to be losing but slowly. Happily the victory of my mounted troops on one flank allowed a couple of units to sneak through and hit the Imperialist keils where it hurts and this was decisive. A hard-fought game and an enjoyable one, irrespective of the result, thanks Andre.
