Supply for AI Alliance Team

Facing another question on how to implement in a scenario I'm working on currently. . . .
Basically I am wanting a player controlled team (consisting of US units) and an AI controlled team (also consisting of US units) to share the same supply lines and pool. Is this possible?
Scenario Situation (101 Airborne D Day behind Utah Beach):
* US airborne landing - with captured supply points providing supply.
* Mid-scenario infantry / armored beach landings - this team I want to be controlled by AI
- These basically will come on and then head to defensive positions on the map
- Not intended to be main participants / (I do not want human play to divert these from historical deployments to support stretch secondary objectives)
I have the spawning / movement for the AI team working correctly. However, when the Human and AI teams (who are both US) interact it can result in cut supply lines for the other.
I additionally have an objective of establishing and maintaining a supply line from points A & B (causeway exits), through Hex C to Hex D. Although I just implemented the AI team spawn I'm certain that as it is currently implemented the team structure / supply issues will also affect the supply objective (although I can probably solve this through objective success / failure condition modification).
I'm guessing it has something to do with how I have set up alliances in the Scenario Settings.
Any assistance / advice / pointing to another scenario where shared Human / AI supply is implemented correctly would be appreciated.
