A charging question

Another question that came up last night.
I have a BG of four light horse in a gap between a forest and the edge of the table. Facing them are two BG's of four light horse, one straight ahead and the other to the right and angled at about 45*.
Both declared a charge and my light horse turned and ran. I got a six so evaded easily. The gap left behind was only slightly wider then two base widths. What happens to the charging units if they both can't fit into the same space after I've evaded?
In the end the BG at 45* rolled a one so managed to stop at the table edge and just behind the other light horse that charged but any more then that and I've no idea what would happen.
Cheers, Dave.
