Difference between Agricultural and Plain?

Probably this has been covered and explained elsewhere, but I'm at loss to find it.
In which respects do Agricultural differ from Plain (whether North European, Middle-Eastern, or Mediterranean)? What can be expected in general from Plain, in contrast to Agricultural?

I think this is discussed in the patch notes? As I recall, plains have less chance of woods and hills in the generation of the map. I suppose you could simply generate a few maps using the custom battle and see for yourself.

Thanks. Patch notes only say this as far as I can see:
“
Added Mediterranean, North European, Middle Eastern and Tropical Plains. These have been added (10% chance) to Pot Luck terrain selection in Custom Battles. (Agricultural reduced from 60% to 50% chance).”

Even better, go into the Editor and open the Random Map Generator plugin. You can then very quickly generate several maps to compare the differences.
