Chaging Pro-Allied/Pro-Axis

A few questions regarding the editor and changing the political stance of nations....
If I change Italy to Pro-Allied, does this mean Italy enters the war against Germany?
If I change a nation to be neutral, does this mean it no longer enters the war of its own accord?
For nations that have no defined entry date (eg Spain) does setting a Pro-Allied/Axis stance have any effect at all?

I haven't tried it but I think that's what would happen. That is, Italy would enter against Germany. The only way to find out for sure is to make the change and sees what happens.

I'm really not sure on this one. Again, give it a try and see what happens.

This one I know for sure! If a country is neutral with a Pro-Allied stance it means that only the Axis can declare war on it. If it's pro Axis then only the Allies.

What about it's due entry? For example, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria. If I changed them to be Pro-Allied, do they retain their entry dates? If I change them to be neutral do they still join the Axis on their normal entry dates?
Looks like I'll have to play a quick game to find out I guess. Thanks for previous and future info though
