The best thing about the cheat codes is skipping a scenario

I dug up Panzer Corps 2 again ....
Playing Axis Operations 1939 again ....
The defend battle of Saarbrucken is a giant headache for me .. its a lot of defending and ya have to wait and wait for the ai to do its thing ...
But thanks to the cheat codes .... runany Victory 0 I can instantly trigger a victory land move onto the next scenario which more than likely is a typical Panzer Corps 2 scenario that is sexy, fulfilling, and a blast to play...
Further Whining ... the 3rd battle of the 1939 axis operations had ... I think its this one ... has the thing where the enemy moves through the mine field so again ya have to wait for the ai to slog through this and try not to fall asleep at the key board waiting to continue ones attack ... I ran my recon unit behind them at end of scenario and got some points ...

Cheat Codes: I only use them
"When a Scenario is Ridiculously-Flawed!". Case-In-Point: 1939-Belgium _
Prologue:
Battle of Fort Eben-Emael:
***On 10 May 1940, 78 paratroopers of the German 7th Flieger (later 1st Fallschirmjäger Division) landed on the fortress with DFS 230 gliders, armed with special high explosives (Shaped Charges) to attack the fortress and its guns.
Most of the fort's defenses were "lightly manned" and "taken by complete surprise".[25] Eben-Emael's loss delivered a hard blow from which the Belgian Army could not recover.***
___________________________________
In this "Scenario"... i was not able to 'Land On The Fortress'... the 'Fortress was NOT Lightly-Manned'... and... "There Was NO-POSSIBLE... Complete Surprise!"... . In-Fact... there was a "Heavy-Torrential Onslaught of approaching Assault forces that quickly rushed in and Overwhelmed my Paratroopers. As-Well... the Belgian-Forces Infantry and Armored Forces Fire-Power was distinctly more overpowering than they should have been. The Belgian-Fortresses
Reinforced Concrete Gun-Turrets in this Scenario had a greater/longer more far-reaching line-of-sight and firing-range than any other Scenario that i have had to deal with yet... they also hit their targets with too-much inflicted damage.
My long-Range-Artillery (5-Hexes Firing-Range)... was nearly completely unable to get into firing positions to begin any reduction of the Gun-Emplacement-Casemates... before they were nearly destroyed by overlapping Gun-Emplacement Fire. So... in the end... this situation became completely untenable-hopeless... i had no-chance to make any meaningful progress towards achieving my mission objectives.
"But thanks to the cheat codes!" ....
"runany Victory 0" ... i was able to circumvent this atrocious disgraceful "Alternate-Reality" depiction of the assault on the "Eben-Emae-Fortressl"... and move on to more saner missions.

Enemy in the Eben-Emael scenario has no armour,
the fortress and its garisons start without ammo, which simulates the "lightly-manned" situation, and you are given 6 gliders to deploy your paratroopers in forward locations, nothing can stop them or dig them out once you entrench around the fort. As long as you deploy your paras in a line to cut the supply and keep the fort encircled, they can't do anything to you. And you are even given a training scenario imitating the terrain layout right before it with instructions clearly given telling you where to land and block, how on earth can you fail in this operation?

Your living in a "Dillusional-World"... I had landed and cut off the Forts Supply... then i was soon after attacked constantly... where soon after the Paratroopers were eviserated. YOU are Completely out-to-lunch!. You are living a distorted reality.

Why? You are allowed to attack, you dont have to wait for the enemy. After 5-6 turns you should be able to move forward, it is even one of your secondary objectives to conquer the airfields of the 4. french army afair.
Btw. do you know you can speed up the ai-turn with space bar or even better, after the last update on the top right corner you can enable something like a speedrun for the ai. So you dont have to wait 1-2 mins until the ai attacks all the minefields and so on, that means no more waiting.

That is sad. This is on a the few scenarios that do not work like all the other scenarios work. You cant simply start on one side, move to the other side with all your forces and win 5 turns early.
You have to adjust your core. If you just move some paratroopers over there of course you get wiped out. You should think about overstrength, heroes and how you can support your troopers with air and tanks asap.
Tbh of course you can fail this one if you play it the first time on high difficulty, but the game should never be like a walk in the park. There is no shame to restart a scenario

Ugh these topics are just "I'm bad at the game/can't adapt to scenarios, so I cheat."
Do we really need them?

Well, there are two kind of players:
Some prefer easy going, win everything without any trouble by standard gameplay. If something goes wrong they like to cheat, skip or quit the game.
Some players like to lose 3 times, before they finally win.
Both ways are fine. If this topic helps some player I think yes, we need them.

Ideas "how to win" this mission. To be honest i havent played it for a long time or touched the game. But if i remember correctly, you can deploy 5 or 6 paratroopers in a forward position AND you can deploy units on the ground under them.
Normally i try to obtain 1 airport the one left of the fortrresses with defensive paras (some OS and (a) good defensive hero(es) if possible) or the one right of the fortresses asap.
Then i redeploy my best aircraft and this is enough to dominate the attacker, but speed is of the essence
Abnother approach is using the "Azul" on the ground unter the paras and speed them to aid your paras. But every other fast unit is able to assist after 2 turns.
There are many ways to handle the attacks on your paras, the "easiest" is reassigning your heros. Paras with some OS, Readiness and agressive counterattack are quite tough. Resilent and no surrender is another good combination for them (if you OS them).

after taking the airfield u can fly in 3.7cm AT guns, 7.5cm Artillerie and 2cm AA guns.
pretty easy to hold out until main forces arrive.

I must confess I have used this code a couple of times lately.
I am doing a run-through where I am only using captured equipment, no standard German stuff at all.
It's been fun, but the "air force only" scenarios are just impossible to beat as you don't get enough stuff.
So I use the code rather than skip so I don't lose out on getting a new hero.

I finally realized you can speed up the AI now its a completely different enjoyable game with plenty of reasons to repaly stuff and try different methods this is a great addition to the update .. woo hoo

I read the manual but checked it more closely under hokeys section it clearly shows one can use the spacebar so I missed this like a noob .. could have been doing this from day 1
