Slitherine

Hello everyone, kind of a unusual thread here, but hopefully some can help me, specially Slitherine's Steam moderator folks.

Just about 2 hours ago i replied to this user here:

(you can see his thanks reply, my actual reply was removed).

I uploaded the mod in question, Pazifik Korps by the DMP team to a mega nz link and provided to him (the mod's site died over a year ago, so its not an easy mod to find).

I think less than 15 minutes after that i got a Steam Community Permanent Ban message:



I lost all access to my friends, forum posting, etc... steam is now heavily limited to me, this was a account with almost 2000 games and over 15 years of creation.

After some reading online, i believe steam dislikes Mega nz and considers it a harmful upload site?

I already submited a ticket to steam support essentially apologizing for using mega nz and begging for an appeal. Can anyone from the slitherine staff (or userbase) provide any additional help? Not sure if a game community staff has any say withint Steam, but i am at my wit's end here and any help is appreciated!

Just wanted to update this saying that with the help of Edmon from the forums here, i was able to quickly get Steam Support to reverse the ban.

Steam is very particular with which sites you can share your mods with, be careful people!
