Pot Luck for MP

I have been playing a lot of solitaire picking an army and using pot luck to chose the opponent. In most, maybe all, battles, the opposing army has been historical and a good matchup. So I decided to try a MP game using an army and pot luck opponent. I noticed the game system did choose a opponent but listed the chosen opponent in the game matchup rather than simply listing the opponent as pot luck. By doing so, it takes away from the surprise factor of what army will show up on the field. So, I am wondering if it would be a big job to change the display to indicate it is a pot luck game rather than choosing the opposing army and listing that opponent before the game starts?

I don't completely recall whether there were technical reasons why it would be problematic, or whether it was decided to do it the way it is for other reasons.
And of course, not everyone would want it the way you suggest, and allowing both options might cause problems.
I will add it to the list of things to consider, but don't hold your breath,
