Do the bridges created by railroads not count as bridges?

I was playing a scenario and for the first the first time I encountered something that raised a question for me. I haven't noticed this as I usually play zoomed out and on low graphics but do the bridges for railroads work only for railroads? I was wondering as I noticed when trying to retreat my forces that what I thought was a bridge was acting like a river, also one of the bridges I blew up showed two bridges blown up. Apologies for how up close the view is, its the only way to really see on lowest graphics.
Edit: I have no idea how to add images I tried adding them as files but they aren't showing up.

Yes, railroad bridges only serve for trains.
Should be noted that a destroyed railroad bridge will not stop a train, it will only slow it down.

This seems like a bad oversight.

Maybe because it is impossible to repair a destroyed railroad bridge ?
