Early victory bonus prestige question

When you finish a scenario with one or more turns to spare, there is a promise of bonus prestige, defined as a percentage. My question: A percentage of what? I initially assumed it to be a percentage of prestige that would be earned on remaining turns, but the prestige counter displays an early victory bonus percentage in scenarios in which zero prestige is awarded per turn. Is the bonus simply zero in such a case? Or is the bonus a percentage of something else?

Last time i checked this is very long ago, i did not notice any change.
All prestige gained per turn is summed up, no matter the source. there are 2 hero-trait that generate prestige per turn, so once u have galland u get a bonus.

If you finish early you receive all the Per Turn Prestige for the unplayed Turns plus Bonus Prestige.
The Bonus Prestige is a percentage of the unPlayed Turn Prestige.
This only applies to the Main Campaign, because the AOx DLCs don't use Per Turn Prestige.
Note: AOx defensive scenarios may have per turn prestige, but they have 'Hold at End' victory conditions so can't be finished early.
Note 2: Bonus Prestige may reappear for Pacific Campaign because it has the same scenario designers as the main campaign.

Many thanks for the explanation! I haven't played the vanilla campaign in a long time, so I guess it's no wonder that the "early victory bonus" didn't seem to work as I expected!

As soon as you get some heroes that generate prestige every turn you should never end a scenario early. Afaik you wont get the prestige for the remaining turns.

So the bonus includes forgone per turn prestige from Famous and Legendary heroes? That would explain the promise of a bonus in scenarios with no preset prestige per turn.

Something must be wrong here, I checked it in 2022 and I am quit sure I did not get the prestige. Since prestige is not a problem after SCW I do never care about ~500 plus or minus, so I end a scenario when there is nothing else to do.
Maybe it has something to do this the difficulty setting, when you dont get prestige at all beside conquering cities, heroes and caputuring stuff? Dont know the name, in german its called "karges europa" afair.
Still I bet 5 bucks on my point of view. Got to check it out again
