Approaching New Year's Eve now!
Normal operations will resume not before January the 3rd! In the meantime, what have you been playing guys?

All my most anticipated games (Field of Glory Kingdoms, Ancient Arena, the "Fall of Rome" game and a couple other non-Slitherine/Matrix games) are only coming out in 2023 (at least I hope so). So far I've been killing time with FOGE and Zomboid.

Merry Christmas, Pocus! Just so you know, I STILL play Civil War II & Birth of America II. Great games that stand the test of time. Thank you for years of enjoyment. Oh, and Pride of Nations, Wars of Napoleon, The Thirty Years War, To End All Wars, and AJE, on occasion. I look forward to Kingdoms.

Thanks, this is nice to know people still appreciate these old (but good!) games so many years after release. It's true that they are a bit special in their approach, how many detailed historical strategic/operational-level WEGO are around?
As for me, I played a bit of Terra Invicta, but did not push further than establishing many outposts on Mars. I find the AI passive and there are some problems with the tempo of the different game segments.
I recently started a ultra-poor game of Factorio. As you can see, no historical games, probably because I'm into them every day when I work

I have (again) got hooked on Football, Tactics & Glory. It is just such a wonderful tactical, strategic and RPG hybrid with its two DLC's (the basic game is a bit meh, if I have to be frank). World Cup is of course the blame for this, as after the final whistle of the final I just needed some more

I thought I would fire up Empires again.
Then decided to look at the forum and saw I wrote the above post - having completely forgotten I'd even visited the forum.
Well that's embarrassing. Must be an age thing. Everything is new again.
