magic artifact creation

To be honest I'm not surprised but still disappointed that in 2022 no game has managed to top/compared
to the original MoM magic item creation.

1994-ish
-start with a sprite
-depending on the spells added, added a specific colored aura

2022--
the new system has several sprite icons and some with colored auras.
yeah it's like 10x times easier to make it this way, I know.

but it's not the same and it's a disappointment.

I am also disappointed the spell charge feature I clearly remember that was a thing in the original copy of the game (https://masterofmagic.fandom.com/wiki/S ... tem_Power) ...not even caster of magic) doesnt seem to exist in the remake. Originally, I thought that maybe it was seamlessly blended into item crafting like an ability since it added over a thousand to the cost of the item but it turns out adding Phantom Beast to a staff for you hero doesn't do anything but disappoint. Your hero still pays the cost of the summon out of its mana pool and it doesn't add like a special counter specific for an item charge. All it seems to do is put a useless sticker on the hero's character sheet, so what is the point of Phantom Beast in Create Artefact?

I haven't played enough to realize that was missing. That's a bummer.
