Self-extracting is not functioning as in previous game downloads ....this is for PC2 1944 which I just purchased. I am using Windows 11...

I have never had this problem before...I am getting zero suggestions on the tech support page at the forum so I thought I would write you directly....I have been a loyal customer of yours for years and years..could I get some help here?

Step 1: Install Steam.
2. Get the Steam codes from Slitherine's website (assuming that is where you bought it) under your account for each of your purchases (base game and all DLCs).
3. Go back to Steam and use them to get the game at no additional cost in Steam.
4. Allow it to update.
5. Launch game from Steam and play! Problem solved.

All subsequent updates and add-ons will occur automatically (unless you turn that feature off).

Issue's!... there usually are no-Issue's... when using "STEAM":

I have tried STEAM...but I want to be able to play it on my new laptop where I have the game installed...never had this kind of problem before..It just won't display the auto-install where you type in the serial number!!!

You can install Steam and ask it to download the game for you there.

You might try uninstalling everything and then reinstalling. Back up My Games first if you try this. This worked for me once when I had a similar problem. Good luck!

I am hoping the folks at Slitherine can help with this problem.....uninstalling and reinstalling is very risky......I am looking for a simpler solution.....I don't like STEAM, ....I want this to play on my laptop as always.

For some games, I have both versions installed Steam and Slitherine but I mainly play the Steam version much more convenient (backups on the steamcloud, automatic updates, success and rewards...).

I uninstalled the whole game...now it won't reinstall!!!!!!!!!!!!!WTF!!!!!!!!!!...ALL I AM SEEING is from Microsoft saying "the app your trying to install is not a Microsoft verified app!!...get apps from the store!!!

what the heck has changed since I first installed the game??????????????
Do I need to install multiupdate v01.01.21?????????

someone send me an easy install procedure click by click!

Nothing has changed with the game that I'm aware of, so I would suggest its your PC - perhaps a Windows update. I have noticed Microsofts Store becoming more pervasive and naggy so it would seem a reasonable, if leaped to, assumption.

Developing a multi layered/tiered software distribution system is complicated, resource hungry and expensive so ours is comparatively rudimentary but for the most part works fine. Valve have invested millions into developing what is a versatile, free (to you) and easy to use system, which is why we give you free Steam codes. Why waste money and resources reinventing the wheel when a perfectly adequate system already exists?

Some of the advice I got here from the top echelon was to use safe mode,,,,it really screwed the pooch as far as my laptop stability...I had to get outside help to get it back into normal Windows 11 mode...I just am relating my experience here...Watch whom you take advice from when you run into problems with PC2.
