problem with PCs 1944....

It is not self-extracting as in previous game downloads for PC2!.... Never had this problem before...HELP! 
I uninstalled the whole game...now it won't reinstall!!!!!!!!!!!!!WTF!!!!!!!!!!...ALL I AM SEEING is from Microsoft saying "the app your trying to install is not a Microsoft verified app!!...get apps from the store!!!
what the heck has changed since I first installed the game??????????????
Do I need to install multiupdate v01.01.21?????????
someone send me an easy install procedure click by click!
