How is enemy prestige calculated

Just started wondering how enemy prestige is calculated in the Grand Campaign.
Is it just a lump sum at the beginning of the scenario or maybe a lump sum per turn.
Or is it maybe related to still owning victory hexes in some way?
Would enemy prestige be lower if I occupy the VH's faster rather than slower?
In other words, does my tactic influence the amount of prestige the enemy gets? Knowing this there may be some tactics that are more optimal than others seen from an enemy prestige point of view.

each scenario has an initial prestige value (lump sum) and a prestige per turn value for each side. strategic bombing (with class 9 units) reduces the enemy prestige a little. capuring VH's adds prestige to the side doing the capturing - it does not take it away from the side losing control of the VH - unless there is a script written for that in the scenario you are playing.
don't worry about the enemy's prestige - just supress, surround and surrender their units.

IMHO, influencing enemy prestige is a bit more relevant in some mods, e.g. Battlefield Europe by McGuba

Agreed. I have never given the enemy's prestige any thought. It is enough to focus on your own strategy, tactics and prestige management.
