No FoG:R at Warfare in 2022? Any reason?

I was just wondering why there appears to be no FoG:R tournament at Warfare this year (looking at the last discussion of this show, back in 2020, there didn't appear to be anything about it then, either). This is particularly annoying as the new venue - the Farnborough Conference Centre - is about 20 minutes' drive from my home, as opposed to the hour+ to the old venue in Reading.

(Just FYI, I was Ronan the Librarian before discovering an even more excruciating pun to use as my screen name.)

I suspect it is down to lack of numbers, having said that given the cost of this years competitions I think the numbers may drop even more. A number of regular attendants have told me they will not be going this year. That includes me.

Well, it's a good job you were free to have a quick word with yourself about it, Don. That is a shame. Has the new location played a part in it, do you think? I could see that a few Midlanders might find it a bit more difficult to get to than somewhere that was just a quick hack down the A34 (although given the amount of roadworks in recent years, that last bit might have become an oxymoron).

The new location for Warfare 2022 at Farnborough was excellent (compared to Ascot and Rivermead in prior years) and the large, single competition area was very busy. Assuming they return to the same venue, there certainly should be the space for FOG-R; assuming folks are happy to travel a little bit further than Ascot. David (B)
