Quick question about AO 43: Can I pick paths in '44?

Hi guys,

just a quick question: I want to finish '43 both historical and ahistorical paths.

How does '44 determine my starting point? Do I have to keep a save from both paths?

Right now, I have a save from Kursk Operation Roland. Then I went for the ahistorical path (obviously...).

Now, if I reload that save after finishing the ahistorical path and go for the historical misssions, will I still get to have a choice between historical and ahistorical path in an upcoming '44 DLC? What is the marker the game is looking for, if any?
I just dont want to be barred with my core I dragged along from SCW from following both paths.

Thanks. Having a lot of fun.

Well, since AO44 isn't out, nobody in the public knows. Will it be separate DLCs for the historical and ahistorical paths, or combined? No one in the know will dare say. So we can only speculate.

For fun I, and most other players I believe, completed the game both ways so you can do either path whenever and however AO44 releases. That would be my suggestion.

Remember, you core is saved at the end of the final scenario of the DLC, so you'll be ready to go either way.

And that was exactly my point - do I need separate saves for ahistorical and historical paths?
And of course, most players will want to try both paths.
Previously, the game gave you markers in the form of odd reserve units for special events. (that one strength russian mp infantry, for example) Does that happen in 43, too? (If anybody knows...)
And yes, AO 44 is not here and probably still in the conceptual phase. Anyways, I guess I will have to keep savegames from both paths to be sure.

No, there is no token added for the two routes in the end of AO 43. So personally I think they are doing two separated AO 44, which is what they mentioned before the release of AO 43 as "2 DLCs in work but not time to announce". I even remember people attacking the dev teams for delaying the release of AO 43 while already working on new ones.
