Team tournament?

If teams are self-selected I suspect the drop-out rate would be low but each round would probably need a month assuming a 15-turn scenario.
Here is one way it could work where each team has to play each side in a scenario but against a different team each time. In this example my team was randomly assigned Axis to start:
R1: my team plays Axis in scenario 1
R2: my team plays Allies in scenario 1 but against a different team that was Allies in R1 (seeding?)
R3: my team plays Axis* in scenario 2 (seeded as per normal tournament)
R4: same as R2 with seeding
*or Allies but then plays Axis in R4
Re scoring each player on a team would accrue the same points each turn and would be represented as individuals on the scoreboard. To determine how a team is doing just add their scores together (suspect they will be adjacent on the scoreboard)
Anyway just a thought

A Team Tournament sounds like a great idea! Are there any good 2 vs 2 scenarios that play well for a tournament? I am fine with however it is organized.

I think random selection might encourage others.

Random teams are a must. Maybe putting together balanced teams based on players past performances in the tournies.

So there are only 3 2v2 "official" scenarios: Bootcamp Battle, Clash of the Titans and The Fork.
BB is really small so I think that one is out.
CoT is 30 turns and so would like need a couple months to finish a round. It also has fixed OB which I think is a drawback.
Fork is a race to 50 VP so thinking that could could take a couple dozen turns as well, maybe more if sides are evenly matched. OB is largely fixed (only 100 RPs to spend)
If I had to pick one I guess it would be Fork.
Are there any other scenarios that might work?

Muddy one already has 2 factions per side so could easily be converted. It would be a good test of team work as with two players per side there are not many toys to play with.
CP could be increase a bit to compensate.

Random is nice for meeting new people but it's also nice to play with your buds

Teams could be great (def count me in) but perhaps we could do a teams thing not necessarily based on multiplayer scenarios (though that's fine) but just with multiple regular 1v1s and team scoring?
But I'd definitely suggest that some sort of seeding system is a must. If players were initially grouped by past performances (plus a group for those who'd not played in tournaments before) then teams could be based on "one-from-each-group" or similar?
