At the start of Brest/Wlodawa missions you can pay 75% of your prestige for 14 Commendations.
and for what? a Il-2 Sturmovik? i had 24k prestige at that stage why i would want to lose 18k prestige for a Il-2? commendation points also reset between dlc's so whats the point?
imo they should be fixed value like 4k-5k for 14 Commendations maybe(could be depend on difficulty but not percentage like now.) only rudel hero worth that price tag not vehicles.

Not all CP awards need to be balanced and equal. None are meant to feel compulsory to finish the campaign and more often then not they are meant to add some flavor, especially when it comes to gift units. I think only the Verdeja 2 in SCW is really a true game changes when it comes to gift units and equipment, the rest is mostly cosmetic. So if someone is doing well, they can spend extra prestige lying around for such stuff, but if they are struggling, they can keep it for the truly important awards such as heroes, who follow a different pattern and all are great investments.

IL2 is a great dive bomber. You can use it all the way to 1943. The best thing about IL2 is its high air defense. It is way more sturdy than Stuka. You don't need any fighters to escort it. It can be shot by 4 fighters in a turn and still survive, while Stuka would surely be killed. I almost never use Stuka after I got the Il2. It's probably the second best equipment you can exchange with commendation points.

very good unit, the extra range comes in handy in the next dlc to help get another nice unit in the first mission.

you can always get more prestige so id always try and obtain these special units.

i have finished 1943 and that bomber is still my best bomber (i play with denying air force negative trait) it is absolutely fantastic
