Rob, i think George is away for a few days due to family illness but I understand there is still plenty of room for additional entrants. I can recommend this tournament and george does a good job of organising.

Hi Jon

Just checking the AA routeplanner and from Leeds it takes me along the M6 and passes through Carlisle. I was going to take Friday and Monday off as I didn't fancy a 4 hour drive Saturday morning before the event. I was happy to drive back Sunday night though.

Not sure if that leaves something you can work with.

Hi Jon
Your getting of lightly 3.25 hours no worries we are a long 4 hours from Manchester  As to Hotel I'm at a cheap and cheerful one in Beersbridge Annex. I think rob has got a better one, but we should be able to see a bit of each other. I looked on the BHGS site and it says something about a meal on Saturday night any ideas of what it is Rob or Jon.

Hi Dave,
 Sorry  I can not make it that weekend work and if I did go I would by the Train (TransPennine Express) which is only 3.1/4 hrs from Manchester and it would only be a £5 each way if I was going with you mate :D :D :D :D :D, will see if I can make it next year.

Hi everyone

Can someone enlighten me to whether the Boulevard Hotel Complex is worth staying at?

Someone else recommended the Beersbridge Annex but it had bad reviews and I am a light sleeper and struggle to sleep away from home and before a competition so need somewhere quiet.

I'm happy to spend up to £50 per night for a single so if anyone has other recommendations close by then please say.

Cheers

My reccomendation is spend the £50 on beer, doesn't matter where you stay then.

Thanks Dave

I'd looked at Travelodge but do you mean sharing a car up and back? I'm travelling up anytime Friday and coming back after the competition Sunday.

It depends on the hotel you want.

If you can or want to try getting a room at the travel lodge.

We could share the cost of travel up and back.

Let me know either way what your plans are.

See you.
