I feel no compunction in reproducing these Fold3 blog posts here. First, I am currently signed out of Fold3 but I am able to access their blog with no problems. Clearly, then, access to the blog is free. Second, if anything, I am calling people's attention to their excellent service; free advertising, as it were.

Now that my genealogy career is over (finally; it was a fascinating, tempestuous, rewarding, but ultimately exhausting project), I am going to see if I can unhook my Ancestry.com subscription from Newspapers.com and Fold3.com, both of which I feel are worth the money to continue.

Interesting read, I didn't even knew it was possible to escape a sunken sub.
