At the moment I have two issues which need changing in my opinion:
Firstly, the first two turns of every engagement absolutely nothing happens as both sides can do nothing but march forward.
Now some room for manouvering is nice but since the only map type is currently "destroy the enemy" you have to meet the enemy anyway and things like going for a denied flank can be achieved with the setup and one turn of movement. Therefore time could be saved if the maps where shorter, allowing combat to begin in turn 2 instead of 3. Over lots of games this would save quite a bit of time.
Secondly, the terrain does not block line of sight or provides cover bonuses in all cases when it looks like it should do so to the player. I just had a match where I set up my tyranid swarm units behind a solid looking wall of sandstone, planning to attack the enemy necron units when they would emerge on both sides of it. Instead I apparently parked half of my army in the open, since the Necron foot soldiers proceeded to wipe out two thirds of my swarm units in one turn. My big units managed to win the day afterwards but it was still a bit of a bummer.
Anyway, I hope this feedback is helpful and I look forward to more content in the future.
