Later on... "somebody"-"some entity" may just try to be the first to do a serious effort to re-create this "difficult/nasty" war in Ukraine. Is there anyone in this 'Forum' who wants to pick up the challenge to see what can be done with it?. This Game would be very difficult to be successful with... as by playing the 'Ukrainians'.

Just moment's ago... I heard on 'CNN'... that a few or many of the Baltic-States are now going to supply Ukraine with Russian-built 'T-70' tanks within a few days. They are disgusted with Russian atrocities that have taken place in Bucha-[not sure of the spelling].

Anyway... if not now, then maybe later!.

I am not sure if the game can cope with the particulars of the specific conflict. Logistics, drones, overpowered anti-tank missiles, fluctuations in moral, helicopters...
Personally I would prefer something nearer to the time-period of PC2, maybe a cold war scenario? Peters' Red Army and Clancy's Red Storm Rising would seem adequate settings. Or maybe after Pacific is released, a Falklands one(!).
In any case, I am afraid that such endeavor will inevitably inflame passions and will force moderators to policing actions which they are probably disinclined to perform daily.

I hadn't considered some of the points that you mentioned... and... as well... your preference for some 'Cold-War' situations seems to be a better idea!.

My personal preference is for a complete set of campaigns dealing with the 'Arab-Israeli-Conflict'... and even maybe even going just a little further into present day potential conflict situations... especially with 'Iran' wanting a nuclear inventory like North-Korea has and... also that 'Saudi-Arabia' now has constructed a rocket engine factory including the ability to start building missiles [soon moving on to Nuclear Weapons]... . Satellites have spotted this 'Factory' and have also revealed that the 'Saudi's' are as well now even testing their 'Rocket-Engines'.
