Hi Slitherine,
Have you considered using the current PC2 engine for a Cold War setting?
I can count cold war TBS games on one hand.
Regards!

Theres a mod called MDC for Panzer Corps 1 that has a timeline of equipment of 1980's to 2020.

I'd take a guess and say that no company would dare to touch this with a ten-foot pole right now. With the ongoing war in that region, the risk of an public outcry over releasing such a game / add-on would just not be worth it.
A mod, like the one mentioned above, might be different.

I mean there's plenty of Cold War games getting released these days, WARNO, combat mission: black sea, etc

Those were already in development prior to the war, and either have been released already or saw early access. Thus, they precede the conflict. That isn't quite the same as starting development on such a game now.

That's a bit far stretched in my opinion.
Back on topic, regarding mods, yes I was aware of the PC1 mod.

If the PC2 devs released a 'Modern Units Pack' DLC we could create our own scenarios and maps in the editor to cover any conflict..

Well i know, both DLC´s are delayed, but yes i agree. I would really like and enjoy parallel DLCs like the one you mentioned. And/or Camo DLCs, Flavor DLCs and so on. This is a real great game, and i enjoy the idea to grow it bigger and bigger.
But im afraid the team is really busy atm with pacific and AO43.

Yes and i'll bet creating campaigns is what's delaying them. Personally I rarely play campaigns and much prefer short sharp standalone scenarios, so if the devs simply released a set of Pacific units
without a campaign (US Marines and Japs) I could build my own Pacific scens, and likewise if they released a set of 'Modern Units' we could create scens in any part of the world, my cash is ready and waiting..
PS- regarding DLC's, I take my hat off to the 'Order of Battle' devs who've been steadily and consistently releasing the DLC's below since OOB was released 5 years ago..
