Usually Syracuse gets smashed by Carthage, but if Carthage overextends in Africa and Spain, Syracuse can prosper.
In those cases, Syracuse being the traditional allies with Rome, both colors melt with each other.
In my Syracuse game, the whole map is just a sea of red.

Also, when making peace with the enemy, in the transaction screen, it's harder to tell apart the colors of regions to determine whether Rome or I am occupying it.

Might I suggest a change to nice shade of darker green? (Light green having already been taken by Nasamones in Africa)

Sadly, most shades of green blends into Nasamones to the South. Well, at least I can now spot where my 2 CS (Sparta and Cyrene) are.
