Battle of Balaclava, November 1941
A semi-fictional battle taking place at the site of the Crimean War Battle of Balaclava. German and Romanian troops attempt to open the back door to Sevastopol by taking Balaclava in a lightning attack in November 1941.

My second scenario. Hope you like this one. The original idea was to re-create something like the Crimean War battle of Balaclava, but it ended up being quite different. A battle like this did occur in early November 1941 after the Germans broke through the Perekop isthmus, and German infantry and stukas destroyed a fort near Balaclava. No further gains were made in this area until June 1942. But in this scenario resources for both sides have been increased, particularly motorized and armoured units. This gives the Germans a chance to achieve a breakthrough that could significantly shorten the siege of Sevastopol.

The scenario is roughly based on this map, with some 20th century updates and other adjustments.

I work from time to time on a complete map of the Crimea but it will take a long time before the final version...

That map looks amazing.
I'm working on a new version of this scenario that more closely matches the Crimean War battle. Hope to post it tomorrow.

I started the first two turns of your scenario, it sounded good but I’ll wait for the next version...

The new "Crimean War Edition" of the Balaclava scenario:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/1c57zm6nk8ie3 ... r.zip?dl=0
A fictional battle taking place at the site of the Crimean War Battle of Balaclava. German and Romanian troops try to repel a massive Russian attack on the port. April 18, 1944.
This scenario is not intended to simulate the Soviet capture of Balaclava in 1944, but rather the troop composition and setup from the Crimean War. German, Waffen SS, and Romanian units play the part of the British, French, and Ottoman defenders, respectively. The Russians play themselves.

I just played the 1941 scenario and it was a real good challenge and fun to play.
I tried downloading the 1944 scenario but it has the same name and won't show up in my game.
Tried to change the directory name and other stuff but so far I couldn't find and play it.
Great 1941 scenario, will try it again soon. I scored victory in the 34e turn but had only 1 out of 3 secondary objectives.
I can do better

.
Thanks for the great work!

Ah wait, now I see the link here and that one is different.
I think that the link in the 'master scenario directory' is incorrect.
Thanks! I should go to bed but let's just install this baby...
Update: Works great!
