After upgrading to the new version from the launcher, trying to enter multiplayer mode fails with the message: "The server has been unable to validate your details.please contact the support forums at

Hi Chris,
Do you still have a Storm of Arrows beta serial in your registry? Those have been removed from the PBEM server, so will no longer work - and you will get the above message.
If so, you should uninstall the beta, and then re-run the updater and put your release serial in for Storm of Arrows.

I still had the SoA beta installed.i know it was necessary to uninstall the beta to install a newer beta release but didn't know it affected installing a non-beta game update. Note I wasn't trying to install the just released SoA DLC, just do the game update so I could do my turn in an ongoing game. That's where I got the error. now after installing the SoA DLC and downloading the large update again from that I seem to be ok but it still seems something isn't as clean as it should be with just doing a normal game update which I would think should be independent of any beta installed.
