Create map, fill with terrain, all good. Add any one unit anywhere on map and check to validate scenario. Get message -

[ERROR] Unit at (33,26) has invalid type.

Using Steam version of game as my original on CD required numerous updates and still didn't function properly.

Looks like the only way I can add units is to download an existing scenario, change the map, delete all the units and add my own.

I do not think that validation means anything. Why it shows that way I do not know. It shows that on every scenario I have created. If you go to tools and hit play and the map opens you are probably good to go.

Thanks. Some maps play, some don't due to graphic card issue (well documented by others). But consistently on any playable map all my aircraft crash to the ground on my first turn despite having airports (had this problem for a year with no resolution!).

Would be useful if there were player scenarios created that we could download, and then because of issues with the game we could modify them in order to successfully make our own scenarios. Hacked off with this game tbh.

Planes will crash if we forget to place a nationality flag in the airfield hex-



Also make sure not too many planes are based at the airfield, as each airfield can only handle a certain number of planes.
