Today we are releasing a small update for the game, fixing a bug which was causing the game to crash when assigning heroes occasionally, as well as fixing an issue related to the tournament scoring which was reported in the last round. Apologies for that bug, but it seems everyone was affected, so no player was advantaged over others during that round, scoring wise.

Changelog:

- Fixed occasional crashes when assigning heroes
- Fixed problems with awarding tournament points at the end of a mission

Since I'm particularly interested in improvements to hero assignment, I was curious to see if it's again possible to assign heroes to spawned units. Sadly it still does not work. Why am I asking here explicitly? Because it worked in the early days of PC2 (2020-2021). There is now the problem that a hero can only be assigned if the unit is already placed on the map. However, this is only the case for core units in the first scenario, spawned units usually only appear in the course of the battle...the hero assignment script does not find the corresponding unit with the known ID marking.

Can this be repaired again please?

first time I've had a problem downloading an update? keep getting the "an error occurred trying to update an FTP file" and I have to cancel the process.

Do you have it installed through Steam? If so, verify the install. Restart your computer and then go to your Steam library, find Panzer Corps 2, right click it and hit properties. Under local files you should see "verify integrity". Click on that and it will go through all the files and make sure nothing is wrong.

was there a update that make Armor car or Recon car count as a Anti- tank kill medel cause one of my units in the dlc got the medal after it kill a armor car.

Recon, Infantry, Fighters, AA can all get the HardAttack[1,2,3] achievements, this was true in the Beta.
The low HA on these units makes the Achievements difficult but it does happen.

no what i mean is do a Armor car that your unit kill does it count towards the Hard Attack medal

Only if it is a Tank.
If you compare a Units History and it's Achievements you will see only Tanks count, not Recons.
