Classical Greek Allied Contingent

Trying to understand the list implications for Classical Greeks.

The Persian Wars Greek Greek Starter army, Immortal Fire Pg 6, has two allied contingents. A Corinthian Allied command and an Athenian Allied command.

The Athenians have one BG with 6 archers. There is no such option in the "Classical Greek Allies" list on page 10. That is, an allied contingent doesn't seem to be allowed archers at all.

This would suggest these troops are drawn from the base list. However, the 4th bullet point indicates allied contingents must be drawn from the Classical Greek allied list, pg 6.

Is the starter army illegal or have I missed something?

I also notice that the list errata lifts the javelinmen to 0-8 in the "Classical Greek Allies" list on page 10 making the Corinthian javelinmen legal.

I think list for allied contingent introduces new min-max valid only for allied contingents. When you respect these for nationality of contingent you chose, you can introduce also optional troops.

My question was kindly answered on the Yahoo Fog Mailing list.

It seemed the basic list, mentioned above, had an error in it. My logic wasn't flawed, at least this time.

There are several ways of resolving it. One being to swap the Spartan Javelinmen and Athenian archers between contingents and changing their names. Resulting in Athenian Javelinmen rather than archers.
