Scoring

Scoring will be based upon the break level and by how close the battle was. The narrower the margin between players will result in scores rather close while an early decisive win will be wider.

Win: 60 + (enemy break% - winner break %)
Draw or Loss: (enemy break %)

Example:

pantherboy (48%) = 48pts
CheAhn 60 + (61% - 48%) = 73pts


Reporting Games

Reporting results will be incumbent on the player who won the battle. They will be required to log into the Slitherine Forum and post the result publicly on the appropriate thread (e.g. Late Antiquity Eastern Conference Results). Results posted should be reported in the following format;

Despite the Greek hoplites guarding the Persian bows, the Pontic and Armenian infantry and cataphracts closed in before taking too many volleys

A torrid hail of Javelins on one side and arrows on the other was probably decided with the slightly premature launch of a Moorish ambush and the eventual routing of two very effective Moorish elephants. A very good and tight game as always with Rex. Many thanks.

Game score is fairly deceiving. Things were pretty balanced for most of the match as I was able to take a skirmishing lead, but at the cost of some of my cavalry. My pikes survived all their impacts vs. the legion foot, and then it became a slow grinding match. The game only really turned in my favor on the final few turns when an elephant charge caused a cohesion cascade on already weakened legion foot. Good game to my opponent.

The battlefield on the Pergamene side was dominated by rocky mountains on the left, center and right. The Pergamenes put a stopping force in on their left flank and pushed through on their right while the primary Galatian attack went against the stopping force. The Pergamene immobile left flank was eliminated almost to the last unit but their attack from the right was successful.

The rapid clearing of the Antigonid left flank left their shorter line seriously exposed with the resulting losses too much to overcome when the general melee began. As many a General throughout the ages could tell us, the biggest phalanx wins the argument.

The large rough hills covering most of the battlefield helped protect the Pontic army from the Ptolemaic pikes while they picked off the pikes' supports

Division B East Conference Pod A

A fierce charge of the warriors in the center broke the line of the phalanxes.

Pod D (East)

devoncop ( Persians) beat Dragmio ( Ptolemaics) 60-20

Points :

The Persian bows were able to shred the supporting Ptolemaic lights and elephants before the now isolated phalanx was able to crush too many of the Persian bowmen.

Thanks to my opponent for a sporting game where both sides attacked from the off.
