Where are the sons of Nippon?

While we're waiting for the release of the Pacific War DLC, I thought I'd create some Japan vs USA scenarios in the editor, but I was disappointed to see that there are no Jap combat units in the editor, only the things below, so I'm now in sulk and pout mode (sniffle)

Where are the sons of Nippon?

I have been wondering about that myself!... maybe someone has decided that just the 'Japanese' forum members... where-ever they are... will be the ones to help develop and or create the 'WWII Pacific Theatre Campaign'.

I'm not against that!, however I would have hoped that "WE" in this 'Forum' would have had a chance to participate to some meaningful degree as well. I guess?... that we are too disruptive to the purer efforts that are required for this endeavor... or in other words... "Not-Worthy!".

They have a team working on the Pacific campaign. That campaign will obviously include Japanese units and missions as well, as that is the whole point of the game. Why would you think that they would somehow need to rely on Japanese forum members to do any of that?
PC1 and PC2 have units from many nations, I doubt that they needed someone from each of these nations to create units for them. There are also plenty of sources available for all sorts of Japanese units and military-campaigns, you don't need anyone from Japan for that, nor someone who speaks Japanese. Heck, I did create a Japanese tank research-tree for a Hearts of Iron 4 mod, and I didn't exactly have to look for obscure sources for that. Creating units in itself shouldn't be a huge issue.

I don't understand why would you think that forum members somehow needed to have any in-depth participation. Developers develop games, players play them and give some feedback. A game would be in deep trouble if it relied on forum members to develop their game for them. There is absolutely nothing unusual about what is happening. People on this forum have been able to give their opinion on any matter, including suggesting features. Soon there will be a beta, in which some players will be able to give feedback based on the new content itself. That is exactly the sort of role players and forum members should have. None of this is in any way suggesting that forum members are somehow too disruptive or "not worthy". I mean, you don't expect producers to come to you and ask you to develop your favorit movies or tv-shows for them either, now do you?

Yes, sometimes those who mod a game get later picked up by the developer to do some official stuff, but that is entirely seperate from using forum members to actually develop the game. They already have feedback from the main game and prior DLCs as a baseline. They know that the naval part needs to be different to make the Pacific war worthwhile. They have seen the comments that came in after the announcement. They will get feedback from the beta, and can include any feedback from the first campaign for the development of further campaigns. What more can you realistically ask for?

Matrix does sometimes ask members to get involved but I haven't been asked to help with the Pacific stuff yet..:)

Your 'Twisting' what I was saying. I was actually eluding to... in-fact... I was hoping that the Japanese forum members might have a different approach or perspective on the Pacific War... that we might not be aware of,... thereby making the Game a more interesting experience with some new/fresh ideas.

PC1 and PC2 have units from many nations, I doubt that they needed someone from each of these nations to create units for them.
In-Fact in the forums... many individuals from other European Countries presented their cases for what they would like to see that could be included in the Game, and some of those ideas were included.

I don't understand why would you think that forum members somehow needed to have any in-depth participation.
Do you seriously think that the 'Developers' are aware of 'Everything???', and that no outside idea participation is of no use... of no value?.

You have been a chronic complainer on almost every issue in these forums!... please!.. try to give it a rest!... its getting quite tiresome... to keep listening to these unhelpful commentaries.
