2 things that i really wish to see in FOGII

Hi all,
I don't know how many people play in this way, but i like to start the game, go into the custom battle section and simply click on "create". Sometime i also play the campaigns, but i prefer to play random custom battles because each time is a surprise. To paraphrase a popular film quote, life is like a (sand)box of custom battles, you never know what you're gonna get
Anyway, playing the game in this way, i really wish to have a new feature in the custom battle section: the chance to set both armies on "pot luck" but setting also a specific time frame. So, for example, if i set 0AD-500AD, the game will randomly chooses 2 armies from this time frame.
But there is also something else that i really wish to see in future: a DLC that cover a time frame previous the 1000 BC, something that will have Hittite, Assyrian, Ramesses II Egypt, etc
What do you think about this 2 ideas? Am i just dreaming or not?
Thank you

This feature already exists. You just need to set the date range at the bottom of the "Own Army List" window.
But there is also something else that i really wish to see in future: a DLC that cover a time frame previous the 1000 BC, something that will have Hittite, Assyrian, Ramesses II Egypt, etc
This is already planned.

Oh, sorry. I haven't noticed it. I thought that the date range was only a selector to help finding armies in the armies list. I was not aware that it could be used in combination with the pot luck.

Slitherine don't like to give too much away until they make an announcement.

So, any clue to when there will be an announcement?
But seriously, I had given up hope for a bronze age DLC. So, good show!

I expect the announcement will be announced a few days before it is announced.

As a software engineer, I must admit that it is a very wise strategy
Keep up the good work, this game is a true masterpiece!
Best regards,

Maybe you can answer if I put it this way: will the ancients DLC be released before all the medieval DLCs are released or after?

So, with the Swiss done, we’ve reached the age of pike and shot.
Can we now finally expect work to be done on the Bronze Age?

All that has been publicly stated is that there will be a DLC each for Bronze Age for Ancients and Balkans-India 1320-1500 for Medieval, time and order of release have not been revealed.
