you choose the Trophy of War Option this per the PDF included with the new ,03 upgrade/fix. that sux! capturing enemy units is my game within the game. now, which way do you proceed? still pick Trophy of War option knowing the scavenger Hero is no more? or play without the Trophy trait hoping for more scavenger Heroes? in my experience, I've never received more than 1 Scavenger Hero in any of the numerous campaigns I've played. and I mean just one Scavenger total from the SCW thru the 4 2. that one comes early, goes on the Matador Tank and remains. anyone know if the Scavenger Hero will be rewarded more frequently now? thoughts on which way to play future campaigns? and which Trait to now pick if you don't select the Trophy of War? I've never played without it.

Well, I've never liked playing where I try to capture everything and as a result I never have chosen Trophies other than in SCW where I think it is almost a must have.

What traits to pick really can vary wildly from player to player. What I or another player likes might not suit you and the way you like to play.

But for me personally, for a long time I always pick "Slow Modernization" and "Trench Slog." Those with the default 2 points give me a total of 6. I always chose "Killer Team" because heroes are one of my favorite aspects of the game dating back to PG2. I also usually choose Panzer General and Infantry General so I can deploy as many units as possible and I like my army to be as historically representative of actually Heer divisions as possible. As a result I have quite a few infantry units in all of my cores compared to most other players. The others depend on the DLC. After 1939 I usually like "Force Concentration" (again because I like heroes) and until AO41 I always choose Anti-Air Veteran.

After SCW, I usually chose at least one of "Denied Artillery or Air Force." Another negative trait that I think is not a big deal, especially after your forces are experienced and powerful with heroes, is "Arrogant" if you want/need one more point.

I have captured equipment but when I go to buy it ... it is not there who knows ..

Do you perhaps have a unit of that type already and replaced loses that may have used them up?

Aye. Quite fun though. One of my cores has 280K prestige at the end of AO42, thanks to that combo up to and including AO'41 . Lets just say that other than Galland and the Sturmovik, I refused all of the prestige trade-ins for that core...

There is no way you will ever get a prestige deficient after SCW...

Why do people always want more money, even billionaires? In this case, to see how much prestige I can get.

Keep in mind, we're talking about the 3rd Corps, one of four Corps that I've brought from SCW to AO'42. The 3rd Corps is tasked with collecting maximum prestige while being forbidden from using captured equipment AO'39 onwards (it has Industrial Connections instead). The principle for the 1st Corps is that it should try everything, so it has done all of the prestige exchanges and is a sub-optimal Corps in many ways. The 4th Corps has minimal general traits and is the only one that is permitted to reinforce its units beyond the standard tables of organization. If all the Corps had the same rules and goals, it would get boring!
