Commander II?

So I want to know when are you releasing Commander II, and will it feature the Pacific war as well as Europe?
And if you are please consider adding in some detailed scenarios with daily/half weekly turns such as Battle of the Bulge, Kursk, Battle of Britain, etc.
The only other things I would ask for are weather effects grounding planes, perhaps user controllable defenses that can be purchased and built, and perhaps unit stacking (not sure about this one seems to work well as is actually), possibly get some of those glorious Osprey Publishing images into the game, and finally perhaps a little more diplomacy like alliances etc
But I think you are onto a winner here - games are becoming so complex that its really nice to play a game that concentrates on the gameplay rather than the details.

Firepower Entertainment has other plans at the moment so the Commander series is put on hold for now. That does not say whether it may be more Commander games later, just not in the near future.

Mhhh, these are sad news.

Given that these plans do not include selling vacuum cleaners, I am looking forward to see the stuff you are developing.

Johan is looking into other things but Slitherine certainly plans to continue making these games, so watch out!

Well as long as its not just a rehash of the same engine in different time periods

Yeah I really really really wanted to like Commander: Napoleon at War but unfortunately it is quite awful. If the map had been 4x as large it might have been better since then there could actually be some manuever. So I also vote not to rehash this engine - it's great for this game but it failed miserably at Napoleonic war.

Please don't make a Commander II we already have enough repeats of the same game with some silly graphics improvements and a line of ai code changed and calling it a new game for $40-$50 bucks.
HOI III is soon to be released. I don't understand people tossing good money into the same wind over and over hoping the breeze might change temperature. It never does it's the same game with a few lines of code changed.
Make a fantasy or sci-fi game, but, please don't make a Commander II.

The perfect wargame doesn´t exist. The most realistic wargame has nothing to do with real war... I know HOI series and they have their own weak points as wargames. Also I´ve noticed HOI 3 is about to be released and seems to be a good improvement in respect with its predecessors... But HOI series appear in 2002 and they have been improved since then... CEAW series have appeared in 2007 (only 2 years) and they can be also improved as well...

From what I've seen from the BJR modders lately, we may soon have "Commander II" when they finish the new version of the mod. It looks like the modders are making this game engine fulfill it's potential. And, best of all, it's free.
