Effect of STRENGTHMULTIPLIER?

What's the in-game effect of the STRENGTHMULTIPLIER in ArmyList.txt?

Will it merely change the number of men in each unit (i.e., purely cosmetic), or will it in fact change the strength of the army list's units in some way? If the latter, how?

It is entirely cosmetic. It just affects the reported number of men, and casualties in proportion. It has no effect whatsoever on gameplay, or the relative strength of opposing units.

If the two armies in a Custom Battle have different values of STRENGTHMULTIPLIER in their army lists, the average is used.

Thanks, Richard! In particular, the last information was really useful.
