Option to increase cache size

Hello developers

I've posted a couple of times about replays not working in really big battles since an update a while back. Replay size getting too big? Anyway - I wondered if the cache size option that is now in the game is there to address this issues....except if it is it doesn't seem to work. I've set the cache size to 8192 at the moment and still my opponent and I are not getting replays. We will keep making it bigger to see if it reaches a point where that changes - but is there any work around for this issue in general? The game works really well for large battles on 70x70 size maps and 400 to 500 slot size for forces - but if pbem replays fail to fire then the big battles are hard to play because so much goes unseen....

Any thoughts? Love the game by the way. I started my serious wargaming with the original Combat Mission until they broke TCP wego play....then graduated to Strategic Command and enjoyed helping out with beta testing on that too....and PC2 is definitely my next big play. Really good strategy game built on a very simple platform in truth. Scenario building easy to do after a few goes at it. Top stuff. But need the replays!

Cheers
Alastair

Bumpity bump bump.

Any developer able to comment on pbem failing? I'm going to try designing my next multiplayer scenario a bit smaller to see if I can find the threshold at which pbem replays fail. But it would be good at least to have it confirmed that size of game hits the ability to see a replay....so that I know I'm not going nuts!

Thanks

Bumping again - not least because a recent update a few months ago seemed to fix replays....but now in my most recent game they have gone down again.

Anyone know what the cache size option inside the "other" menu does?

Can any developer reply on the replay thing and what might make it cease to function?
