cheers Marco

Basing changes from time to time, but at the moment its as follows:

Pre colour Vallejo Basing gel - Vallejo Flat Earth or Vallejo Desert Yellow

Spread gel onto base

Pour Wood Glue into seperate tub

Dip the base of the figure into wood glue and then stick into gel on base

Spread gel over base to cover it

Sprinkle various grades of pumice 'stones'

Sprinkle grass flocking

Cut bushes to size, dip into wood glue and push into gel on bases

Leave to dry

Drive all before you with new fancy looking bases!

Spartans were done with this method

PS The last step doesnt always seem to work

If you mean the mounted Romans then I used Hellenistic Thracians as they had large cloaks on, a simple shield swap for something more Roman (and TBH wrong as I suspect it should not be a legionary shield) as they were done.

All other cav/mounted figs are from the figure range of the respective manufacturer........ nothing changed or added really.
